This review is from Axel’s parents who helped set up his volunteering for the Wildlife Rescue Center in Alajuela in August 2024.
We sent our 18 year old son to the Wildlife Sanctuary and Rescue center for a week stay. Once past the little home sickness, he had a blast taking care of the various animals, preparing the food and feeding them, cleaning, etc.
The center is also organizing many activities to keep the teenagers busy, since the activities last a few hours per day. From our parent point of view, the organization of the stay with Janina Schan of Green Life Volunteers was excellent.
She communicated with me during the whole preparation and with our son and me during the stay itself.
Thanks to her we felt secured to send him by himself thousands of kilometers away and she helped all of us with any question or concern we had. Strongly recommended!
