Caribbean Coast Turtle Projects

Parismina and Pacuare

The Caribbean coast locations are Parismina and Pacuare Beaches. Both located in close proximity to Tortuguero National Park. As the name suggest, the Tortuguero area is a turtle hotspot on the Caribbean. Turtles arrive here from late February until late July. This makes it opposite from the turtle season on the Pacific Coast which is from late June until late December.

Parismina and Pacuare have both great local turtle projects. The beaches are located a boat ride away from the last small town, where the last bus drops you off.

The Caribbean coast is known for it’s beautiful natures, large river systems, and lively party and tourist town Puerto Viejo.
